Ready to Connect

Getting the help you need shouldn't be complicated or stressful.

Our team is here to answer your questions, help you understand what services might be helpful for your family, and connect you with the right programs and resources. We believe in treating everyone with dignity and respect, and we'll work with you to find solutions that fit your specific situation.

Whether you're a North Lawndale resident looking for services, a potential volunteer wanting to get involved, or someone interested in supporting our work, we want to hear from you. Our staff speaks both English and Spanish, and we can arrange interpretation for other languages when needed.

The best way to get started is usually to give us a call or send an email, but you're also welcome to visit us during our open hours. We'll take time to understand what you're looking for and help you navigate any next steps that might be helpful.

Getting Here:

We're accessible by public transportation and have limited parking available for visitors. If you need help with transportation to reach our center, please let us know when you call. We may be able to connect you with transportation resources or arrange alternative ways to access our services.

If you're not sure whether we can help with your specific situation, please come by anyway. Even if we can't provide the exact service you need, we know the North Lawndale community well and can often connect you with other organizations or resources that might be helpful.

Our Hours and Location

Our operating hours vary depending on the day and the type of services you need. We recommend calling ahead if you're planning a visit to make sure we can give you the attention you deserve and that the services you're interested in are available that day.

Weekly Schedule:

  • Monday, Tuesday, Thursday: By appointment only
  • Wednesday (Warm Up Wednesday): 9:00 AM to 2:00 PM for general services and programs
  • Friday (Food Pantry): 2:00 PM to 5:00 PM for food distribution
  • Saturday: Closed
  • Sunday (Food Pantry): 9:00 AM to noon for food distribution

Holiday Hours:

Our hours may change during holidays or for special community events. We'll post any schedule changes on our website and social media, but it's always a good idea to call ahead during holiday weeks to confirm we're open.

Scheduling Appointments:

For Monday, Tuesday, and Thursday visits, please call or email us to schedule an appointment. We try to accommodate scheduling requests as much as possible, especially for families with young children or people with work schedules that make it hard to visit during regular hours.

Emergency Situations:

If you're facing a crisis outside our operating hours, please contact emergency services by calling 911 or reach out to other 24-hour crisis support services in Chicago. We can provide referrals to crisis hotlines and emergency services during our regular hours.

Language Support:

We have staff members who speak Spanish and can provide services in both English and Spanish. For other languages, we work with community partners to arrange interpretation services when needed. Please let us know when you contact us if you need language support.

Family Support & Development

Strengthening families through holistic programming that addresses real needs.

We provide comprehensive support for families including parenting resources, financial literacy education, health and wellness programming, and case management services. Our approach recognizes that strong families are the foundation of strong communities, and we work with each family to achieve their goals and overcome challenges.

Our youth programs provide safe spaces, educational support, leadership development opportunities, and positive adult mentorship for young people ages 8-24. We focus on building skills, confidence, and community connections that help youth succeed in school, work, and life while developing their capacity to contribute to community improvement.
